From The Student Hub
to Black Ubuntu Technologies
Black Ubuntu Technologies (BU Tech) evolved from The Student Hub, founded in 2015 by Hertzy Kabeya. Initially, The Student Hub focused on providing affordable access to academic textbooks. However, recognising the urgent need to address the unemployment crisis, we shifted our focus to eliminating barriers to education and career advancement.
In 2023, we transitioned to Black Ubuntu Technologies, integrating cutting-edge technology to revolutionise job placement, skills development, and student funding for employers and educational institutions. We offer a comprehensive suite of technology and services, including:
